Verandas and Winter Gardens

Verandas and winter gardens are elegant and functional solutions for expanding the living space of your home and making the most of your outdoor areas in every season. They offer brightness, comfort and a strong connection with the outdoors, with the possibility of creating new rooms that can be used all year round.

The main difference between a veranda and a conservatory is the roof: a veranda has a fixed, non-glazed roof, usually made of insulated panels; a winter garden, on the other hand, has a fully glazed roof, designed to maximise natural light.

PLEASE NOTE: we do not install glazing on existing structures

Structure

When designing verandas and winter gardens, you can choose between thermal break and cold break configurations, depending on the intended use.

Thermal break solutions ensure optimal insulation, maintaining a comfortable temperature in both winter and summer, making them ideal for those who want to use these spaces as additional rooms to be enjoyed all year round. On the other hand, cold-cut versions are a more economical and lightweight choice, suitable for unheated spaces or mainly seasonal use.

The structures can be made to measure, with a fixed or partially opening roof, glass cover to maximise natural light, or with blackout materials such as PVC fabric or sandwich panels for greater sun protection. In addition, you can opt for a freestanding or building-attached version, with a flat or sloping roof, thus adapting each project to the architectural requirements and available space.

Versatile solutions for every need

Accessories

The performance and aesthetics of a veranda or winter garden are further enhanced by the finishes and accessories available

Among the most popular options are panoramic windows – fixed, sliding or folding – which allow you to adjust the opening to the outside, creating visual continuity with the garden or terrace. For everyday comfort, adjustable sunscreens can be integrated to improve light control and privacy, as well as LED lighting systems that are perfectly integrated into the structure, ideal for enjoying these spaces in the evening. Finally, the paints and finishes available in different shades and textures allow you to coordinate the structure with the style of your home, ensuring a tailor-made result that combines functionality, comfort and design.

Verandas and winter gardens offer public establishments the opportunity to increase their seating capacity by making the most of outdoor space and providing comfort and total protection from the elements throughout the year.

Thanks to covers and opening windows, it is possible to modulate the incoming light and wind, creating an ideal microclimate in every season and ensuring a pleasant and personalised experience for customers. Each structure can be custom-made to reflect the style and identity of the venue, transforming the outdoor area into an exclusive and unique space that enhances the atmosphere of the restaurant or bar.

It is an investment that pays for itself over time, increasing the usability of outdoor spaces, improving the customer experience and generating higher revenues thanks to greater attractiveness and customer loyalty.

Regulations

Regulations

From a legislative point of view, the construction of a veranda or conservatory generally involves an increase in the volume of the building, thus requiring a building permit. These structures are often considered building extensions, resulting in an increase in volume. However, if the configuration of the structure complies with the restrictions established for the installation of a solar greenhouse, a simplified procedure may be sufficient, as it falls within the scope of free construction.

To avoid future problems, it is essential to consult a qualified technician. An experienced professional will verify the feasibility of the project, compliance with local regulations and correctly manage the building permit application, ensuring the compliance of the structure's installation.
